[PyrNet-L] Rescued Pyr

I just want to tell you about a rescue effort above and beyond the call.
Last week Roger Tuepker was driving to an appointment in the pouring rain on
the 60 Freeway near LA and the traffic was slowing down because something
was in the median strip.  As he got close he could see it was a white dog,
and sure enough, it was a Pyr.  So he stopped on the shoulder and got out in
the tall grass and called to the dog.  She came to him and he grabbed her
collar.  Then he tried to get her under the guard rail but she wouldn't go,
so he picked up this wet, smelly,muddy dog in his business suit and carried
her across.  Then, since the sliding door to the van was on the traffic
side, he put her into the van through the driver's side, and she got her
muddy feet all over the seat.  Then he drove to his appointment with the
front of him wet and muddy.

The dog is now in rescue and if you know of anyone who has lost a Pyr in the
