Sometimes rescues are temperament tested & sometimes not. Sometimes the
people doing the original rescue don't even know what breed dog they have,
much less know anything about the breed. (if not GPCA)
I picked a pup that I know both parents of my pup! This was a one-time
breeding, not routine breeding. All pups in the litter were temperament
tested. We look forward to seeing how these pups match the results of their
temperament tests at our Litter Reunion this summer!

Sounds like a wonderful breeder! I have that same relationship with mine.
We have much to be thankful for! We talk & e-mail weekly or more often & visit
with pyrs about every 2 weeks! She is a wealth of information & very
supportive & encouraging. Many of the owners of pups in the litter as well as
owners of mother & father stay in touch & visit with our pyrs! From talking to
many other pyr owners this is a pretty rare thing to be so close to so many of
them & visit & talk so often. I co-host a private Great Pyrenees chat room and
thus have chatted with about 150 pyr owners in past month and have found no
one with that kind of relationship with so many in their dogs litter & parents
of their dog. There may be others, but I have yet to hear of them. I certainly
hope there are others as lucky as we are! Heartily recommend it!! Great source
of support & great fun getting togetrher with our pyrs!!

Unfortunately when we open ourselves up to love someone & being loved in
return, we risk also heartache, tears, & sadness. Yet to love & be loved by
this sweetheart Albert has been one of the high points in our lives! Thrilled
that he is a part of our family and think we chose very wisely. Checked him
against the standard for the breed, temperament testing was done, parents are
in good health, he was vet-checked, neutered, wormed, received vaccinations,
etc. And also he bonded with us totally from the first time we held him, when
he snuggled in & relaxed with us, as no others did! He chose us as much as we
chose him!! We are totally devoted to him & his littermates & all of you can
rest assured that none of this litter will end up without somewhere to call
home. If you have comments about others who are not as responsible as us &
this group of resonsible, loving, supportive people, then please direct those
comments to those other people who do routinely breed indiscriminately, or
abuse, neglect or abandon dogs. We are not those other people & don't deserve
to be lumped together with them.
