Thought I would post to the list. What am trying to do is actually research
the breed as sometime in the future I would like to be owned by a pyr and
have therefore decided to include a Pyr in my book (s).

What I'm trying to get from being on this listing is a sense of what a Pyr
is like. Their "personalities", behave, health, basically since I don't
have daily contact with a Pyr I really have no idea what a Pyr is like
outside of reading. Because of my own experience with a Chihuahua I have a
tendency to be very overprotective of them - they are NOT mircowave dogs,
yappy, wannabes ;-) Therefore I want to be as true as possible to the
description of the Pyr in my fiction. I did not know they were barkers, had
never heard of debarking. The posts everyone has been sharing as given me a
terrific insight into this breed and has also made me more aware that if I
don't present the Pyr in a truthful, honest manner I'm going to have a whole
lot of people mad at me.

I am truly sorry if I in anyway mislead any of you into believing I was
writing directly/only about Pyrs. What I see happening is that all of your
Pyr babies will end up making up my fictional "Maggie". If I have offended
anyone please let me know. If you feel that I am invading/using your
privacy, since I do not own a Pyr (yet) and that I shouldn't be here I will
understand and leave PyrNet-L.

Thank you for all your help and interest.
