Re: [PyrNet-L] And Now To Bed...

I'm ashamed to admit <g> that our first pyr is spoiled rotten and sleeps on
our bedroom floor. She is very well behaved and we've never had a problem
with her chewing things up or soiling - but that's not always the case!

Do you have a garage? If you do and are willing to share it with your pyr,
usually the last several feet of the garage can be blockaded off for just
the dog and a car can still fit in the front part. The rear part of the
garage has a door which can be opened to let the pyr have full access to a
backyard or outside kennel, and then for those with neighbors who want to
sleep at night <bg>, the door can be closed & the pyr sleep *inside* the
garage part with food & water. Two important things to remember with this
set-up, though. Number one: if you use the garage for a vehicle, I
wouldn't want the pyr inside the garage when moving the car in or out due
to exhaust fumes! The garage would need to be fully ventilated & aired out
first - but it does work good if your garage is just *storage* and not used
for a vehicle. Second point is that garages can get very hot in the
summer, and the ventilation would come into play again. You'd have to make
sure the garage had cooled down before closing a pyr in for the night.

Anyone have any other comments or see any other problems with a set up like
this?
