Some great answers from Donna, Adrianne and everyone about questions to ask
when buying a pup.  I would also suggest that you see the parents of the pup
and as many adult relatives as you can.  This will give you an idea of what
your pup will grow up to look like and also what the puppy's temperament
will be as an adult. Ask how the breeder expects her dogs to behave around
children and  when strangers come onto the property. You will also want to
find a breeder that will help you with any questions you may have as your
pup grows.  

Did you know that the GPCA has a list of member breeders as well as pamplets
about the breed?
