It seems to me any and all variations of any games that anyone is interested in should be implemented, if anyone wants to implement them, and that if those people wish to host tournaments with variant rules of their choosing, they are perfectly free to do so. However, it does seem that a Quoridor tournament is a Quoridor tournament, and it shouldn't be messed with whenever anyone comes up with a nifty idea they want to try. Im not at all against playing with nine fences if the majority of participants want it, but really most variants should be separate games or confined to tournaments and games originally planned to be played with them. 

Anyway, im back now, and hopefully will start making moves again rather soon.
