Attention all Quoridor players!
Starting late January or early February, I will be hosting a
Quoridor tournament, for up to 20 players. If 12 or more people sign up, I will
also award a new, shrinkwrapped Quoridor set to the winner. So far, 10 players
have signed up:
george skouboe jseakle camb lyman hartwell pedro dzander sirrus
barticus
Barticus suggested playing with a limit of 9 walls per player instead of the standard 10. So far the voting on this idea stands at: 2 in favor of 9 walls per player, 4 in favor of 10 walls per player, and 4 with no preference. Let me know if you have a preference either way. The time limit I'm proposing is, each player's
"clock" starts with 30 days, and each move sets it back one day. So you would
have, for example, 55 days to make 25 moves. Therefore a 30-move game should be
finished in no more than 4 months maximum. I don't think the server implements
this kind of time limit, but if any player's "time used" exceeds what would be
allowed by this system, I will give his opponent the right to claim victory on
time. I hope you can make it! Mark Thompson |
