I had an opponent quit all my -gammon games against him because he misunderstood the first move "bug" in some of these games (not really a "bug" but the games are grandgammon and moultezim) and I guess people got upset at him because they didn't want to play and then they couldn't resign without losing rating points. Then I think he misunderstood the message Richard sent him explaining that he shouldn't do this!
I was wondering if these automatic first move games (like grandgammon and moultezim) could be made to start up in Manual mode? Would that help at all? Or, maybe the first move of these games would be the "accept" move - something like the game would be started in "take back" mode or something and the second player would need to accept, then the game would start? Or maybe games can start as "unrated" nad then be changed to "rated" after the players make their first real moves? (just tossing ideas out since I can't program and don't know how the games are set-up!!)
I know that you can message people first if they want to play, but new players don't know that. Maybe this could be noted in the help files for these games?
