several cases BSW was given access to the game before it was published.

For example Yinsh appeared on BSW before the game was released.  This
fact was promoted by the game publisher in hopes of generating sales.

Hans Im Gluck, puts information about BSW in copies of the german
edition of carcassonne.

Many of the German game companies view BSW as a method to boost their
sales, by showcasing their games.
