It occurred to me that there might be another solution - I was reading what everyone was saying,
and they weren't saying "I like to move *north*" - they were saying "I like to move *up*". Would
it eliminate the confusion if, in addition to NSWE, (U)p, (D)own, L(eft), and R(ight) were also
valid syntaxes? I'm thinking then everyone's default orientation is "move upwards", and the UDLR
command set is far easier (personally, I always look at the board and think of my move in
'relative' terms, then have to look around the edges of the board to see what the correct compass
direction would be).

If anyone can instruct me how to submit code changes, I'd do it (I'm no slouch), but it sounds
like it'll probably end up done by the time this message is read...
