[HOE] Vampire/Post Apoc Novel

Hey there,

A while ago some of us had a discussion about a vampire in someone's HoE 
game and talk of an existing post-apoc/vampire novel got bantered around 
a bit (the vampire could go around during the day because of all the ash 
in the atmosphere after a nuclear war- it couldn't feed off of many 
people due to radiation poisoning in their blood, so it searched for 
"pure" humans and kept them safe, feeding them and getting them what 
they needed to survive, only draining them a bit for sustenance and not 
killing them, etc.).  The problem was, none of us could remember what 
the title and author was.

At the used book store this morning, I found it completely by accident..
The book is called "Vampire Winter" by Lois Tilton (1990, Pinnacle 
Books, Windsor Publishing).
It's OOP, but I found several listings on it for various prices at 
half.com if anyone is still interested in it:
