Re: [HOE] Information for new Player

Well, you can always do what I do...memorize the books verbatim and
paraphrase the great history that is Deadlands.

First Civil War...blah blah blah...Reckoners=Four Horsemen...blah
blah...feed on fear...world's a giant Deadland...bloobity blah blah...

Truth be told, though, there is no greater resource than the Prospector's
story in the first chapter. It sums everything up in a nice neat little
package. If it gives away too much, (Coot can be kinda chatty) paraphrase
that with only the info your players SHOULD have.

And better still, if you have the sourcebooks for everyone's respective
power base, (Schismatic Doomsayers, Sykers, Templars, etc.) then those
players should definitely read the front story line in thier respective
book. I find that doing that assists my players in coming up with plausible
backstories to thier characters.

But hey, the best piece of advice...do what you feel most comfortable doing.
