Any tips for a New player to Hell on Earth, I've have good friends, and our gaming party usually favors seven or more, and there all helping me learn the rules, but I though all the advice I could get would be great. I have the two main books and the Law dogs, and Shattered coast books, and am reading them every time I get, I've read "Jo's Journal" twice, and I feel that I've learned allot just from that 50 pages of jumbled words......
Any way any tips would be thanked.
Since you're a player and not a marshall (but don't think that players aren't welcome on the list!) feel free to sit back and enjoy the ride to an extent.
Deadlands works well for players who don't have the time, effort, and budget to but every book in the line... As long as you can provide a good background for your character with some meat for the GM to chew on, everything works well.
learning the rules is mostly just a matter of playing.
If you want a book to buy, I'd recommend Waste Warriors for general value, then the splatbooks for any Arcane backgrounds or posse specialties you might be interested in. WW has a bit of additional and player-friendly background material and some nifty stuff like Martial Arts (regular and Enlightened) and such.
feel free to ask an yspecific questions you might have. My groups currently up to seven plus myself, and Deadlands can get a bit messy at that point, but as long as the Marshall plans ahead it works fine.
