There's also an important thing to consider: what DOESN'T get protested
today? Halloween has, in the last decade or so, gone from a tradition
for children (in the US and other areas, at least) to an event that is
litigated over, argued about, and the subject of massive scrutiny. I'm
pretty a-religious (my policy: your religion is generally none of my
business as long as you aren't committing crimes like sacrificing
people!) but I've heard of churches getting in trouble about
fundraising events and similar. When I lived in Virginia a few years
back, Disney got fought so hard on plans to build a new park in the
Virginia area they abandoned (or relocated) the plan.
Nothing is immune from a group of protesters. Like pop-up ads on the
web, no one really pays attention to them anymore, though.

Yup. However, if anyone knows that pro-RPG propaganda site a guy was
runing, it'd be a good time to post the link.
Oh... and for the record, I think D:tF may end up being a flop (by
WHite Wolf/WOD standards, which means the core sells quite well) simply
because most of the WW fans I know have gotten burned by poorly
supported game lines and regular product line churning.
