I think that's why a lot of suggestions have been to make the power
less 'formalized.' As per the original version, it had multiple powers,
each with different level. The need to drink spook juice is a drawback,
but as is this is a pretty involved power with a great deal of
'infrastructure'.... As much, in a way, as being Harrowed, but withiut
the manitou around to 'teach' the new skills.
Also, with Greenies/Tempests it's a but different story. These are,
like the Templar 'Squire' and 'Companion' options, sort of "AB Lites"
and use a very limited subset of a normal system. An equivalent for
this concept would be if this used the shaman/junker rules but in a
very limited fashion... only allowing contact with special Automotive
spirits.
I still feel this works better as a 'knack' style ability, along the
lines of Whately Blood or similar.
