I would like to state that there is nothing mystical about Preachers/marshal
artists/or scientists in real life but in deadlands they're all mystical so
the whole "There is nothing mystical about them theory isn't really
relevant, but I would have to agree that a soldier background type system
would be neat. You could have backgrounds like Street Racer,Truck Driver,
Nascar, ect. and get extra money for your car for every lv. of driving you
have. Or you could have both. Marshal Artists get to have cool moves with
the Marshal Arts Training edge and powers with the AB:Marshal Artist edge so
it wouldn't be the first character type with more than one type of special
abilities. Either way I would make an edge worth 3 pts. allowing characters
to spend chips on their cars. The only thing you don't want to do is make it
only apply to one car because as you stated "Its been my experience all to
much that vehicles get torn up way to fast in the game. 1 Automaton later
and your calling for the wrecking crew." and then half their beginning
character pts. are wasted.
>Well anyway, just my 2 cents on it.
