What do you mean by "buy"? If you're talking as a Belongin's edge I'd
simply say that an item that powerful is worth more than a 5 (or even 10)
point edge and cannot be bought. If someone in your campaign is actually
selling the Holy Grail, well then you deserve what you get :)

Beyond that, most all dementias and what not are being attributed to
chemical imbalances in a person these days. What causes a chemical
imbalance? Your body producing incorrect amounts of different
drugs/chemicals. What causes that? A mutation in your genes. So unless
someone is "dropped on their head as a child" or something, pretty much
all mental problems are caused by some sort of genetic mutation.

I agree with the other poster in that he could do it, but he'd have to pay
bounty points to buy off the hinderance. The "mutation" hinderance is 3
points, so he'd have to pay triple (9 points) to buy it off.
