[HOE] Vampires in HoE

Hey again,

Another thought...while not exactly post-apoc, it seems like it might
fit.  Did anyone besides me read Robert R. McCammon's "They Thirst"? 
Plot synopsis: Vampires spawn like zombies and take over L.A..  This was
a while ago...probably back in the mid 80's...should still be in print
though.  I think there was a biker vampire in that called "Snake" (or
something) that was an albino.  I think McCammon's take was that his
albinism, instead of compounding his undead sensitivity to sunlight,
reacted oddly with his vampiric blood and allowed him to go about in the
day time.  Or maybe he wasn't a complete vampire...I also seem to
remember that he used a broom handle Mauser machine pistol and shot
people instead of biting them to feed.  Hmmm.  Curse my fragmented
memory.  Still, somthing about it made the character stick out in my
mind.  The book itself wasn't anything earth shatteringly original - it
was kind of like Salem's Lot wife a bigger town.  Fun read if I remember
right, though.
