[HOE] HOE NEWBIE d20

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the list and quite honestly, need some help.  I recently
purchased HOE d20 and now find myself in the position of being the Marshal
for a group of new HOE players; however, I have never actually PLAYED HOE,
so I KNOW things will be bumpy for a while.

I am playing with the idea of having the posse be prisoners in Denver (so
the first adventure would involve escaping from the slave camp and joining
the Resistance).  Anyone see any problems with this concept?  I have the
Denver sourcebook so I think I have a fairly good idea of how things work
there, but this sourcebook does lead me to my next question: does anyone
know where I can find simple conversion rules to convert the older
Deadlands: Hell on Earth material to d20 (other than the end of the d20
book) or already converted material?  I suppose I could make up my own
stuff (using the suggestions from the d20 sourcebook), but I'm not so
comfortable with that due to my unfamiliarity to the setting.
Additionally, does anyone have recommendations for sourcebooks (i.e., what
should I buy)?
