Actually, no they don't. I don't recall the full-story, but basically
whatever higher power is out there believes in a "God helps those who help
themselves" philosophy. Put another way, humanity is fighting for its
right to survive and it has to fight that fight itself. Otherwise humanity
is just the fat guy on the couch screaming as the real players on TV score
the winning point,

"YEAH! We won!"
"No, they won, you watched."

It's one thing to get some magical help from a benevolent entity (God,
martyrs, whatever). That's just balancing things against the powers of the
Reckoners. But for an other-worldly being to come down and fight for you
makes the whole point of the fight moot.

But of course, as always, whatever works for your campaign... I'd say
Angels would look like classic biblical Angels (robes, wings, flaming
swords, halos/auras) since their appearance would be shaped by the
predominant view of the people in the area (since that's the classic
christian view of angels) like everything else hunting ground related is.
