[HOE] To raise the Kidd

Clint's idea is probably the most 'feasible' (to use that term laughingly)
for HOE, but I have some suggestions for the crew if you want an NPC to make
some suggestions.

First off, have they found the Kidd? If not, why do they want to raise it?
Anyhow, if htey haven't found it, I'd suggest they eithr get a junker of if
they have one, get him to rig up a device that detects large quantities of
metal, & have him strap it onto a swampboat.  I think you get the picture;
troll around the Missus Hip until you find a big chunk of metal.

Now, as for the siltation, steal an idea from current naval salvagers; the
junker builds a set of silt blowers--basically a couple of large underwater
fan ducts that thrusts bunches of water much like a vacuum cleaner only in
reverse. Take some time, but should remove the silt fairly easily.

Finally, I still think the Donald Duck solution is the best. Use the silt
blowers to fill the ship with bunches of lighter than water particles.
Chewed up plastic from a junkgun, ping pong balls from a sporting goods
store, whatever. Heck, if you don't like the bunches of floaty bits, & are
lucky to find them, just stuff a bunch of plastic bags filled with tonnes of
Alka-Seltzer in the ship & let the plop! plop! fizz! fizz! do the work.

At any rate, whatever you fill it with, you'd have to have a team of divers
under with the ship to spot the places where the stuff leask out. Have them
duct tape the small holes, weld patches on the larger ones.

As for finding the ship, I don't think it'd be that hard; the Missus Hip
ain't all that deep. I think the biggest problem would be to get the ship
serviceable once it is brought up.

Anyway whatever you do, I do think it'd take a large committee of junkers to
get the job done--this looks like a job for the Chamber!
