My only real problem with this Veteran table and the one for Templars is 
that they have too many good things on them.  It's been my experience that 
you rarely ever get a good thing from a Veteran o' Anything table, and even 
when you do, it ain't that great.  With these tables, you've got at least a 
50/50 chance of something decent (okay, the odds might not be right, but you 
get the point).

The idea behind the tables, however, is interesting.  Question is, what 
about those without Arcane Backgrounds but similar defining edges?
