>> I have been playing around with a couple of ideas for balance and it would be to make them for the NPC or have one guy find it and read what it says in a "book" or "slug." Hey there C, I think that If you are going to introduce a new power into the game the best ways to do it are as follows with some reasons why. 1. Have a potential enemy have it first. Use it against the players in combat or if not combative in nature to somehow thwart the PC's plans. If and when he is defeated have the power in a data slug or a book. Perhaps the power was experimental? Could there be unknown side effects? 2. Perhaps they met up with or know a Faraway Syker from the Voodoo Gurus. That bunch where well know for creating their own powers that no one else had seen before, i.e. A's on apostates heads. Perhaps the Syker had just made his way to Jericho the same time the PC's arrive. 3. A twist on #1. Have the party or PC syker fight a brain eater, found in the Brainburner book but have the power be the coup for killing it. 4. Perhaps a green syker just brought into Jericho has manifested the power. Obviously, this requires some special attention as they are not able to control there powers well. Perhaps the party will be called on to investigate the greenies story, location of where manifested power, etc. Its not everyday someone starts doing something new along the lines of powers. Really there our countless ways to introduce the power. Use any of the above if you want or make your own. Sean
