(These are new roleplayers) > I had expected the syker/martial artist to do what he always did- monkey goes to the mountain, but he never did it. I expected the Witch to use Eldritch shield, but they didn't. Since they where new maybe a little guidance like " you know your infamous monkey goes to mountain would probably help you out here" or "If you could manage to only get your Eldritch Shield up, maybe you can deflect some of these blows" You should nurture the new players not make decisions for them of course but remind them of there options. Being a new player maybe it was to much for em. I was generous with fate chips, and even fudged in their favor every so often ( I never normally do that, but they are newbies.) >There are no hard feelings- the deaths came naturally, and up until that time I gave everyone time to Do Cool Stuff. Well as long as everyone had fun. >I've had an entire group sent to federal prison (Unknown Armies), Institutionalized...twice (unknown armies), blown up in a nuclear explosion (Twillight 2000/Godlike), and eaten by an unholy horror. (Call of Cthulhu) Not sure what this has to do with anything unless it is the same group of players and those where the things they had happen to them, there is a word for people who always like to lose or get beat down. Hey 2 each his own but if I killed off all my pc's at that rate I wouldn't be at the head of my gaming table. >Maybe I'm a killer GM... Don't get me wrong, PC deaths happen apart of the HOE world and I too have had almost a whole party die. They where all sort of new and bent over backwards to keep them alive. Sometimes it just happens that way. Out of a party of 6 4 died. Players Life Insurance ........when you think someone's out to get you, turn to us. Sean
