This is getting to be OT, but hey, let's keep going....

My biggest problem with the book is well, David Brin.  Now don't get me
wrong, I think Brin is an excellent writer; one that makes you really think.
But he has this problem of not knowing how to end a book.  They just kind of
peter out, meandering everywhere until he guesses he's written enough, &
somehow ends it.  Usually, in a fairly anticlimatic way.
