Re: [HOE] This has gone far enough

Thanks Dan,

I think you are right. It hasn't turned into a flame war and I think
everyone has been civil. I guess the problem is that, and I may be wrong
but, Fred supplied a email address to address him directly and not make it
an issue in the listserv group. That was the impression I got anyway and
sent him a response directly on my thoughts for HOE D20.

Everyone can argue or discuss to they are blue in the face but the end
result is that HOE D20 is coming and there is nothing we can do to stop it
even if we had a will too. People are going to either play one or the other
or both. Is one better than the other. We all got our opinions on that.
Other than speaking there minds most people including myself are just being
honest. Classic HOE is the way for me and I could never play HOE D20 and say
my doomsayer casts a magic missile. Call it what you want, wrap it in a
diffrent wrapper but the end result is going to be a less than perfect
photocopy of an already awsome product and game world.

That being said, and it is just my opinion on the matter. The bottom line is
as fans of pinnacle products and I do not believe that a seperate list is
needed for the D20 HOE gamers. While I will not buy the product myself I
would still be interested in listing to the changes and suggestions, etc.
that will be posted. I do play 3ed and would like to keep at least a bit
current in whats going on with HOE D20 Or Basic HOE in D&D terms.
