Nah, 
  The Pilgrim is inadvertant Evil.  He cares so much about 'The Lord' that he cares zero for people and is just interested in cruising around delivering divine vengeance with little divine compassion.  
   He's an interesting character, sympathetic character, but in the end, an evil man who merely has the distinction of being less evil than the monsters he fights.  He's kind of like a templar gone all wrong.  With only the urge to kill the bad men, and no urge at all to protect the good.
