The Unity crashed on Banshee. The reason why it
crashed can be summed by Rule of Flying #19. "In the
ongoing battle between man made objects going hundreds
of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per
hour, the ground has yet to lose."

The navigational computers of the Unity had a small,
but somewhat vital, error when deciding how to set up
a viable orbit. Rather than go around the planet, in
the generally accepted manner for a space craft, the
nac-com decided to go *through* the planet. Net result
- Banshee won.
