I think the main reason against this is that good doesn't play a side in
HoE. In theory God/Buddah/whatever could just smite the Reckoners and make
the world into paradise. But they don't because, other than the helpful
nudge for blessed and what not, it's up to us to save ourselves.

From a mechanic stand point it lends to boring games too. Why kill the
servitor when you can just call Superman and have him do it?

It might be more fun to have existing archetypes try to take on the roles
of the heroes as a way to boost people's spirits. Imagine batman as a
Junker, or Captain America as a Templar, or Green Lantern as a Doomsayer.
Naturally most of them would fall into the rogue category for their
respective orders.
