No, Commo is only for communications; transferring information from one
place to another.  I mean, a gun transfers energy from one place to
another, and it doesn't need Commo.
I'd say ti'd be a Biomechanics creation, requring Spirit Trap as a
prerequisite, but not actually using it in the construction.  Taking the
easy way out, like Biomchanics does, you'd end up with something that's
essentially just like a Soul Tap from Iron Oasis.
Of course, I probably wouldn't take the easy way out, and come up with
some cobbled monstrosity that allowed some minor flexibility in its
operation, but required a graphing calculator to use...
