They would, except they're dead, and so don't take wind from much.

And wouldn't the AI take over if the can got scairt?  Meaning the man in the
shell fails the guts check, hides as best he can (mentally, inside his
head...) and the machine continues to carry out it's orders?  Yeah, still
seems weird a heavy can can be frightened by a walkin' dead, but at least
the machines would still be carryin' out its orders.  The spirit drop is
meant to represent the 'lost humanity' as the person becomes more
machine-like, but it does have goofy side-effects.
