Actually they use the Plastic loop binding thingies(dont know the technical 
term).  They kind of thing that companies have on packets they hand out 
during presentations(I wish I could give a better description, I'm looking 
at one right know, I just cant seem to describe it better).  The come in a 
lot of sizes and can accomidate a lot of pages.  A friend of mine got his 
Warhammer 40K book, plus 3 codex all binded together.  It makes for a big 
book but then you have all you info on hand.
