Has anyone come up with a "Rad Baby 2.0" edge? I know lots of people do
that sometimes.
What I'm looking for is something that has less nasty, but more frequent
bad effects...
I mean once someone gets that magic 5d12 (or starts with it) there is very
little chance of going bust (someone's figured out the odds I'm sure) Sure
if it DOES happen then it's bad, but in the mean time he's throwing huge
flaming bolts of doom like there's no tomorrow.
Plus there's the fact that the PC I'm working on is an acolyte and I'm not
looking forward to sweating everytime she has to roll her 1d12 for
miracles. But then, maybe that's the point...

What about something where if you fail to cast the miracle you suffer some
form of backlash? Failure would be more common than botching (I think...)
even at 5d12+ but the backlash could only have a chance of doing permanent
damage (other things could happen like you hit a friend, or damage
yourself or lose faith or can't cast for awhile...)
