If you insist on doing the Boise Horror, play it as it lies.  Just
put the anti-templars on the other side.  Throw in an NPC templar if
you need one (you probably do) on the "good guys" side.

Or are you a marshal who never lets player-characters get killed?

I haven't been at it long, but in three packaged adventures and a
couple of sessions of improvising, two heros have gone down for the
big nap.  And the Devourer darn near had canned food (an AV4 Cyborg)
for lunch in the last session.
