Re: [HOE] The Librarian's Almanac for May 3rd

I'd just like to take this time to thank Mr. Cone for all these wonderful
little snippets. Makes for fun reading, and some are pretty damn useful
too.

Keep it up, good sir.

BROKEN BOW, NEBRASKA- local scout are reporting the
discovery of a large group of armed wasters two days
west of the town. They are moving in several scavenged
trucks and have a variety of weaponry. One of the
scouts saw a number of lashed black boxes in the back
of the center truck. Guards are posted around the
parcels, but they are all facing inwards with weapons
trained on the cargo. The massive unseasonable
snowstorm is slowing them down but the group is making
directly for town.

FRANKLIN MOUNTAIN ENCLAVE, TEXAS- The ferocious
snowstorm continues its relentless march across the
Wasted West and now the Community College is pondering
an unexpected report. A gunslinger called Red Feathers
relay a tale that the hordes of zombie soldiers that
infest the El Paso-Cuidad Juarez Metroplex have begun
migrating away from the city in a northwestern
direction.

HOBBS, NEW MEXICO- Nomad the Librarian is reporting a
case of multiple kidnapping. Last night, the tiny
village was blasted by a surprise snowstorm that had
nearly buried the small farming community. Miles Bowen
and Mickey Freemantle, deputies to “Vaquero” Felix the
Law Dog, were returning from a patrol looking for a
missing homesteader just before dusk. A guard patrol
swears that a nine-foot figure in rough armor appeared
out of the blasting snow and dragged the pair off.
Gunfire was ineffective and the weather was a severe
hindrance. Felix is calling for a posse to see if the
fate of his deputies can be discovered.

SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA- Thirteen intact buildings on
the outskirts of town were demolished today. A
terrorist going by the name of the geryman has claimed
responsibility in an anonymous message. The Grand
Librarian has dictated that the capture of this person
or persons is a top priority for the Fellowship. The
knowledge will be protected at all costs. Vigilance
and diligence are the watchwords of the hour.
