Re: [HOE] probabilities
You are asking two different things from your dice. If you want to
determine the probability of rolling a _10_ on the d10 then it is 10%. If
you want to determine the same for a d8 (with the first roll necessarily
being an 8) it's (.125)*(.125). If you want to determine the prob. of
rolling a 10 _or better_, THEN you add the prob. of rolling all the other #s
on the 2nd die together, i.e. 3-8, which would be (.125)*(.875), which is
better than 10%.

Okay, I KNOW I'm going something wrong because I got that the probability
of rolling a 10 on 1d8 (open ended, of course) is slightly higher (@10.9%)
then the probability of rolling a 10 on 1d10 (@10%).
What am I doing wrong?:
probability of rolling an 8 on 1d8 = .125
probability of rolling a 2+ on 1d8 = .875
.125 * .875 = .109
