[HOE] Re: Syker in Sacramento

I got nothing official on this, but the query piqued my interest, so I'll
give you my two pennies if I may : )

What kind of info is he specifically looking for? Syker tech he can
reproduce on Earth, or something like whether his brother got shipped back
before the Tunnel collapsed?

If you feel like being vague, remember that most of the info outside of
newsreels, which were edited for public consumption, was military i.e.
coded, restricted, hidden and probably destroyed along with the military
bases in the Last War, or hidden where the Librarian's can't find it
(Denver, Fort Longstreet, NORAD - if it ever existed). A better place to
look might be the Net (in tThe Junkman Cometh), since it's supposed to have
all of the engineering knowledge ever possessed by mankind. Specific info in
Sacramento would probably not reveal too many secrets - "Banshee stones
work, but we don't know how. . . red works, but we don't know how. . ." If
you're feeling generous he might find a possible location for a surviving
red plantation.

I imagine he stayed behind on Banshee. Brainburners says he fought to keep
the Sykers on Banshee for as long as possible - he strikes me as the kind
who wouldn't leave until the last Anouk was dead. Plus, to get back to Earth
he'd have had to be on the Unity with the Sykers!Hmm, maybe he was and they
never knew. Maybe he's still up there. Interesting possibilities. . .

I wondered about this myself. It could just be the delay in signals getting
from Earth to the Unity on a deep space mission, but we all know it's going
to be something more sinister than that, don't we? :) I would keep the
player well away from any kind of info here, because it's likely to be done
officially one day, and the Unity mission was totally TOP SECRET, whatever
it was.

Since the FF and the Unity were after Judgement Day, so he'd have to rely on
Librarian reports on the locations/ exploits/ deaths/Harrowings of various
Sykers across the West. They would probably know where most of those who
haven't gone into hiding are and what's they'd been up to - Sykers are one
of the Wasted west factions the Librarians would want to keep a close eye
on. Of course, some of the info may be badly out of date.

Not so much info as idle speculation from me, but maybe some of it is
useful. AS far as I can remember the only official stuff is in Brainburners,
but there may have been some slight hints in Cyborgs. Various sourcebooks
and adventures detail individual Sykers.
