Well what's a pretty good strength... 4d10? That's pretty high, but not in
the ungodly range. So what do the odds for wind look like:
92% chance of 5+ wind
60% " 9+ wind
35% " 10+ wind
14% " 14+ wind (this is approx. as the numbers start getting
confusing here)
So if a very strong person (4d10) punching an average person (d6's and
d8's for vigor and spirit) has a 14% of knocking them cold in one punch.
That doesn't seem all that bad (picture... Wesley Snipes punching... Kevin
Costner or something).
<People hate these numbers games :) >
Now take average shmoe #1 with a 3d6 str. punching average shmoe #2 with
12 wind.
70% chance of 5+ wind
42% " 6+ wind
Argh! I'm sick of the math. It would take several hits, or a very lucky
roll or two for one average guy to knock out another.
This doesn't seem unreasonable to me. We're going to use the system this
weekend in DL (mmm.... bar fights!) so I'll email how it goes.
