Actually sykers get these edges too, so I think it's more of an extension
of the similarities between the two groups.

One thing I wanted to try and open a discussion on would be making the
different martial arts style (mantis, shaolin, etc.) more unique in terms
of rules.
Mantis could have a +1 to quickness rolls when unarmed, but a -1 to
strength because it involves fast attacks instead of powerful ones. Or you
could say that the fu-ist rolls his str. or deft. for damage, which ever
is LOWER.
Tan-Tui (the kickboxing one) could do more damage, but not get the free
sword skill out of the deal (as it is not part of the formal training).
Shaolin could get no bonuses or penalties (it is considered one of the
earliest styles, and also the style that is the basis for many of the
others).

Also, what about new styles? Aikido? Kenpo? More modern styles?
For Shadowrun I once made up a style that was taught to SWAT and military
special forces called Standard Urban Combat Training, SUCT or "sucks" by
many.

Stuff like that.
