Well, I wanted the deflection ability to require some sort of vaguely
baseball-related skill, since whacking someone in the head with a stick is a far
cry from hitting a baseball. I'm even thinking about actually making it Sport:
Baseball and getting away from Fightin' entirely. That's probably overly
complicated, though; maybe I should just let it go to Fightin': Club (or
Brawlin', which includes Club) and simply lower the target number if you use
Sport: Baseball instead.

I dunno, that seems to run counter to the concept. This is the weapon of a grim
wasteland knight who had no qualms whatsoever about the brutal slaughter of
those she judged to be villainous. It shouldn't discourage such behavior in its
wielders. Hm...I mentioned some ideas earlier; another concept that comes to
mind is a Yearnin' to restore baseball as an organized, intercity sport to the
West, one of Sam's greatest passions--she remembers her time in the majors as
the best years of her life, and feels that a organized sport leagues would help
foster a spirit of solidarity and cooperation between survivor settlements. I'm
trying to think of a Taint that's both thematically appropriate (having to do
with baseball and/or Samantha's personality) and has an actual combat effect,
rather than just an ordinary personality Hindrance, but nothing's really coming
to mind.
