I would think that the lost rules should be handled differently for the two 
different edges. For Rank, the rules were never given to the 'Can in the 
first place, so I'd say that for Rank you'd just not roll for RoE's 
eliminated in this way. But Emancipated is different- The army didn't think 
that the 'can would Chafe under that number of rules- for some reason the can 
just came into conflict with that rule so often that he eventually shorted it 
out- so it seems to me that these rules would be rolled for with the rest, 
and then the more offensive rules, like kill all short people, would be 
removed. Or not, if the character had no problem with killing short people. I 
would suggest that the marshal and player work out together which rules have 
been shorted out. But they don't pay me to think.
