GURPS Deadlands (was Re: [HOE] Deadlands: HoE Playing cards???)

I heard about it on Pyramid (www.sjgames.com/pyramid) and I was involved in 
the playtest discussions. I was a little disturbed that the author didn't 
have direct access to the playtest discussions, so I'm not sure how much 
useful feedback he got from it. Most of the posts were gripes about how the 
card mechanics work for Hucksters, and how or why this should be 
implemented with GURPS mechanics. Unlike what they did to Castle 
Falkenstein, I *think* the author kept the card mechanics for Hucksters in 
the manuscript, but there was some rather vocal opposition to any 
resolution mechanic that didn't involve rolling 3d6. But I'm not really a 
GURPS gearhead... and I'm sure it showed.
