RE: [HOE] Re: Long time lurker sharing position
On one point, I will agree with John. John is a stand-up guy, and I'm glad
to have met him personally (and also been killed off in the meat-grinder he
calls a game session) :)
The point is this: one company being bought by another for survival purposes
is business. Business have a responsibility to investors, and have to stay
viable.
The buyer of said company seemingly driving it into the ground is another.
Granted, since I don't hold an executive position in Cybergames, I don't
know all the details, but sitting on product that is ready to roll out the
door and opening what (from what I read of the source code) I would call a
betatest of a ecommerce site that appears to be non-secure and
semifunctional, doesn't seem like good business.
Hopefully, things will change, but knowing what I do about the gaming
industry, I'm more than a bit leery.

Guy, Goff said it better than I will, so please refer to his email for
the reasons why I believe you are so off base it's not even funny.
If they got bought by Hasbro, maybe that would be selling out. Cybergames
buying them? That's survival.
That's just my opinion. You have your own opinion, as does everyone else.
