Actually syker's blastin' skill is knowledge based. The only ones I can
think of that use different traits for the basis of their arcane skill are
Deadlands based (hucksters and shamans for their rituals). They kind of
went away from that in HoE. Which is nice, it's such a pain for a char. to
have to keep up 4 or 5 different stats just to be effective with his
hexslinging while the priest is happily raising his faith to 7d12...

Another spice to add to the mix is the sticky subject (for Doomsayers) of
Rad Shamans. They can manipulate the Glow, and sometimes better than
Doomsayers, without any mutation or faith or anything. Worse, radiation is
just one aspect of a larger sum (rad, trash, smog, sludge) to them! Worse
still, Rad Shamans can actually make themselves immune to all of the
Glow's effects, including doomie miracles! Chew on that for awhile :)
