This is from an e-mail Shane sent out on basically the same subject, way
back on November 17. (I don't empty my Trash folder until it hits 1,000.
;-)
"We had a ton of stuff ready to go (we were completely on time). Our new
owner decided we were putting out too much stuff and canceled everything
while they could "reevaluate" our schedule. We feel the same way you do, and
that's about all I should say. I'm sure we'll work it out. Collegium should
be in stores in the next 2 weeks."
And then later that same day...
"Waste Warriors is also at the printers and is planned for early Dec.
Remember though, I'm in the mushroom club myself. Are we happy about it?
Absolutely not. But transition takes time, and we have to let things work
out correctly, and I'm sure it will--one way or another. In the meantime,
we're plugging along and working on cool new things for you. When we get our
act back in gear, I hope the extra time and effort we put into the work now
shows."
If you still don't believe it, I can forward you the original messages.
The proof is in the pudding, whatever the hell that means. ;-) I don't
believe in blind faith, and I think Shane's posting shows that our buddies
at PEG aren't in the driver's seat anymore. However, I do believe they are
very vocal backseat drivers and are still working hard for our
entertainment, and I think we'll all be pleasantly surprised when Waste
Warriors comes out next month (please, oh, please). Sorry, maybe just a
little touch of blind faith there. ;-)
