That's because it's been a failure when other companies did a similiar
thing in their own lines. If fact, I can't think of an example of something
like this working. If you can think of one, I'm all ears.

It isn't as new as you think. And even if they do a bang-up job, unless
they're much, much cheaper than current supplements they aren't going to be
worth it as far as I'm concerned, especially in comparison to the status
quo, which I'm *very* happy with.

And I'll keep playing. Because unlike some people, I don't consider a game
"dead" jusst because there aren't supplements coming out for it constantly.
I still play Amber Diceless, and there hasn't been a new supplement for
that game since 1993. But I doubt that'll happen -- Deadlands has a lot
more momentum than a lot of roleplaying games out there, even ones arguably
in a similiar niche, like Castle Falkenstein.
Also, as stated in my previous post, I'm willing to put my money where my
mouth is. Pinnacle isn't making money on supplements the way they're doing
it now? I'm willing to pay $10 a supplement more to keep the quality at its
current level. I *like* the way Hell on Earth is currently handled. If it
ain't broke, don't fix it. And if is broke, there are better ways of fixing
it than tearing down the parts that *do* work and replacing them with
something "new", especially when the "new" thing hasn't worked before, and
the only example of something similiar from Pinnacle (the Epitath) was
very, very unsatisfactory.
And as far as "whining" goes, Shane requested constructive criticism. I
think suggesting an alternate solution (increase the price of the
supplements) is constructive. Call me crazy.
