Re: [HOE] D20 Hell On Earth
Hey Gang,
I'm not sure if I'm about to reopen a can of bees but hey, live
dangerously! I am not only a gamer of many games. But I'm also a retailer.
I happen to be in charge of ordering new product for our entire company
which consists of a measly chain of 6 stores located in Washington and Idaho
States. I was just going over the sales tonight and reviewing for the next
preorder. And I wanted to give my blessings on the next proposed Pinnacle
project. Having just discovered that we sold an unprecedented total of a
little over 100 copies of almost all the 3rd ed. Dungeons and Dragons, and
owning copies myself, please go ahead with a d20 version. No, I don't think
you are egotarian corporate demons, looking to enslave the gaming industry.
Nor do I think that the well planned purchases of Hasbro's now subsidary
WOTC, were such. In fact, the new game system is beautifully rendered and
presented, as well as being streamlined, so that old players and new can
easily get into the game. I think that a d20 system would be very
attractive, and that even the die hard Deadlands players will find some love
in their harrowed hearts for it. I'm just stating my opinion from both a
marketing and retail view, as well as a long time gamer. Those of you who
feel inclined to throw rocks at me, please note, that I have just perfecting
a shield unit, that is capable of deflecting kinetic objects back to their
source as well as stopping energy weapons. :)
