Good point, I like it. It would also neatly deal with some of the problems
with the Reckoners sending Stone back in time if they didn't go back in
time at all, but to a very similar alternate Earth still in the 19th
Century, to help out the alternate versions of themselves. This way, if old
Stone kills young Stone, there's no paradox...
