Well, read Junkman again. Took 'em a while to discover that there
_was_ irradiated Ghost Rock. Took 'em even longer to realize how
to harness it: and many died in the process. That stuff was
_dangerous_. 

And don't forget the problem that the info was left in the copy
machine's spare paper pile, face up, during a couple of
Hellstrome's Office Christmas Parties. Months of research went
down the drain that way too.

All this and the Luddites were trying to stop it.
