The alliance did happen in Boise Horror; the adventure takes place at the
summit that established the Iron Alliance between Junkyard (and hence,
some road gangs and the Sky Pirates), the Chamber, Templars and the
Schismatic Doomsayers. I think that folks will be hearing about the Iron
Alliance a lot, especially roundabout the time that Judgement Day is
released...
But, for those who've read Boise Horror, I'm changing the history around
for the campaign I'm starting up. Here's the deal: In BH, it's mentioned
that Throckmorton's plans, should he capture Simon, include a public
crucifixion in the streets of Denver. This idea is cool; in fact, cooler
than the events that happen if the adventure turns out "right."
So, I'm starting my group out after the Iron Alliance summit, but Simon
was never in attendance. The Combine captured him en route to Junkyard,
and he wasn't heard from. Ike sent out for Jo, who represented the
Templars and agreed to the alliance. Everyone lived happily ever until a
month or so later, when a pirate broadcast cam over KYRD TV, showing a
live feed of the crucifixion. Midway through the event, Simon morphs
into Bahomet and goes nuts, but is eventually put down. The usual
propaganda speech follows. Now, a good number of the Yard citizenry
believes that the Templars are in league with demons after seeing Simon
change. The Templars are still part of the alliance because good folks
like Ike don't think that, but Templars who flaunt it in Junkyard have a
tendency to get themselves killed in the night, sometimes by the rather
large contingent of anti-Templars in town.
Essentially, the end result of everything in BH is still here: Simon's
dead, Jo's leading the Templars, and the Iron Alliance exists. But my
version is a bit more grim and gritty.
